Craig thx you made it clear, it works now, just that full and diff should be on a policy backup, otherwise it can not work.

from the diff backup I see only log file and cannot select an individual mailbox. Also during differential backup GRT option is grayed out.

So during the restore I have to select both the full backup(Single Mailbox Selected) and diff backup (all logs selected)?

Hi CraigV, You mean there is no need to select diff backup during restore, because Symantec will notice the diff backup itself and apply logs? I did a restore to a single mailbox using a full backup, and emails after the full backup were not shown....
