thanks for the help kieth.sorted it all out.thankfully the software had actually added all those "Central" directories into the mount points list of the partition in Computer management.Delete them, and tadaa, it all works.-dave-

nope. That didn't workbut unticking Restore Security did work.All I gotta do now is try and sort the mess on the disk out.

Nothing to do with Overwrite Protection on the media is it ?
