I have four jobs backing up five servers to disk, starting at seperate times. I know that I can backup disk then duplicate to tape, but would like to schedule one job ...
Well, that is the answer as to why I have not seen an increase in speed and will not waste any more time figuring out how to get it.
would have loved to see a faster backup, 62% of 15 hours would have been nice :)

Maybe I am blind, but do not see what I need to do..
So i have the multiple jobs, but with each job there is a link to duplicate the job to tape. I have the duplication starting at the time I think all the jobs are done so that it can duplicate "the most recent full backup" to tape.
