I am able to login to any user's mailbox in the IS by the method. it would seem that mapi isn't the problem.

That's probably a good work around, but how can I make this function the way that it's supposed to? Is it a problem with the product, an incompatibility with our configuration or something else?

Legacy backup fails with the same error. The to disk backup seems to work, but this isn't really an option for me unless there is some sort of staging I can take advantage of where it stages to disk and dumps to tape from there. Is there?Message was ...

I did this and received the same error. I am able to create a backup of the IS when granular restore is not activated. However, that is not how the software is meant to work.

There are no disabled mailboxes in the store. Any other ideas?
