If instead of looking for the non-scheduled job in the Job Monitor tab, change to the Storage tab, double click the storage that job is targeted to write out to and then select the Jobs tab on the left.You should then see your non-scheduled job.
I would not expect changing the time to have a detrimental effect or cause you to lose data, but presumably this can depend upon whichever specific application you are runnning.For Backup Exec, if you are (for example) moving the time forward an hour...
