We have BE v9.1 running on an SBS server 2003 using a Tandberg LTO drive 200/400g backup capacity. BE takes all night 9-10 hours to backup only 90g of data??Can anybody please help to speed up this throughput??ThanksStacey

We have just installed a new LTO drive (replacing an AIT drive), and now Backup exec will not work. We have an SBS server 2003 and can use windows backup, however, BE will not work with the new LTO.Just running an erase job failed with the error 0x00...

thanks everyone who helped with suggestions. We will continue to try to improve performance with tweaking the system, however, no significant improvement has been found thus far.

Hi KenNo we are not using AOFO. And yes we are doing Exchange mail backups.BTW, the next backup we ran was for 90g and it took over 11hrs. Sort of back to square 1.RegardsStacey

Hi KenMany thanks for your advice on this. We have run a successful backup now with your suggested changes and it has improved the backup time for 70g to just over 6 hours instead of the usual 8-10 hours.Do you see this as the best improvement we can...
