EV9.0.1 : "You cannot archive items from this location."

Hi all,

After the upgrade from EV9 to EV9.0.1, when I tried to archive/restore items with Outlook 2010 and EV9.0.1, I have this error message:

- "You cannot archive items from this location." when trying to archive

- "You cannot restore items to this location. If your are trying to restore from a shortcut, copy or move it to your mailbox and then restore." when trying to restore

However, Users under Outlook 2003 SP3 with EV9.0.1 have no problem to access exchange 2010 mailboxes.

Only Users under Outlook 2010 with EV9.0.1 have this problem. In this case, Outlook and EV client have been uninstalled first and then reinstalled, it was not an upgrade!

    Hello Rob,

    We're experiencing the same issue here.

    If needed, I can either open a new case, or should I call in and ask my info to be linked to an existing case?

    If to be linked, what is the case-id I can refer to?

    In short:

    Clients: OL2007SP2 32bit on Windows XP SP3 32bit

    Exchange Server: Exchange 2007SP2 on Windows 2003SP2 X64, mailbox only role

    No mailbox moved

    Currently only happening for a few users, but we are in UAT stage

    I created case 413-673-310, and asked for the e-track referenced.

    I We're experiencing the same issue here 

    I Open a case  413-370-938

    it`s  happening for all of the users

    No promises, but it should be available in a couple of weeks.  [It's in QA now.. but for what it's worth, I've tested it as much as I am able, and it works]

    Hi Rob,

    If you need 'real life' test, let me know, I'll be more than happy to roll out this client to users having this issue. We are currently in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) this client. We'll be upgrading to EV9.0SP1 within a few weeks, and hope to roll out the 9 client to approximately 12000 users. We currently have 50 users testing against 80sp4 with the hotfix necessary applied, and would like to confirm the issue has been resolved, and no new have been introduced.

    btw, the forum seems to be not working. CraigV also reported this. Going to https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/backup-and-archiving/forums/enterprise-vault you only see Overview and Known Issues.

    Thank you for the offer.  We've already had a few unofficial tests of the client, so I think we're good.

    The last update I received was 11th Feb, ie this Friday.  ETA's are just that though..  ESTIMATED..  they can change.

     

    The fix is currently in QA, and I don't hear much screaming and shouting (which is a good thing)
