Backup exec 3600 Appliance password reset

Hi,

I need the help.

For one of our customer, we have implemented backup exec applaince 3600, for security purpose, we changed the default password and handover to customer, after that customer had changed to password, but they forgot the changed password, can anyone please help me, how to retrive the backup exec 3600 applaince password. if default password has been changed.

Hi,

 

if the default password has been changed to access the appliance, and NOT BE, and you have no other admin accounts created, I'd suggest logging a call directly with Symantec over this.

If this is the password used by BE, then open up BEutility and reset the password there.

hi..

can they still access the web interface of the appliance, if yes they can reset the appliance through the web interface. Please see link below..

If not, have they joined the appliance on their domain, try using the domain account. then replace the BESA.

Well last resort is reset the appliance to factory settings.
