10.0 Upgrade B2D failure event id 33808

Just upgraded from veritas 9.1 to 10.0 on a W2K server. External tape drive and external b2d. Backup won't run now due to inability to add media device. Media devices appear as greyed out.

Event ID 33808 - An error occured while processing a B2D command. Changer: CreatePath() CreateDirectory1failed {UNC path}. Error=1326

Has anyone experienced this before? Any acceptable resolution?

The 9.1 was working fine. I may simply uninstall 10.0 and reinstall 9.1. Thoughts?

Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed
The job failed with the following error: Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.

Hello,

Please verify that the drive is detected by the Windows Operating system.

Backup exec will not recognize the external B2D as a storage device but has to be configured with removable backup to disk folder.


You can use external B2D with BackupExec as a "Removable Backup-to-Disk" folder.


Please ensure that external B2D appears as a drive letter on your system
