11D Restore

Guys how do you view the tape media & contents for restore purposes using Backup Exec 11D.

In 10D you clicked on restore option and it listed your media. You could then select the tape and then drill down to the desired file and select.

You actually use the same exact steps, after clicking the Restore button on top, once the Restore job properties open select "Selections" from the left pane and then select either to view by Resource, Media or Selection Details on the right pane.

Philip,

You can also select the media you would like to restore from on the media or device tab, right click, select Restore this will bring you to the restore selections that are available for that tape.

Depends if your tape is inventoried and cataloged.   If not, you need to do it first.  You then can point to that tape and restore your files completely down to one at a time.
