11d with HP MSL2024 Tape Library on VMWARE

Hello,

I am trying to install 11d with the HP MSL2024 under a VMWARE Workstation session with W2003R2, I know the question might be more related to VMWARE than to Backup Exec, but I was wondering somebody could help me in this forum.

After installing the HW HP MSL2024 in the physical machine and installing the corresponding drivers (see at the bottom for drivers), I see them in the device manager, as

Medium Changer: HP MSL G3 Series autoloader

Tape Drivers: HP LTO Ultrium-3 drive.

Now, in the VMW session I add a new SCSI tape device, and when booting the VMW session and installing the same drivers as in the physical machine, I can't see the MSL2024 library, so I see the Tape Drive but not the Medium Changer.

I imagine I should added first in the VMW session but I don't know how!!!!

Any ideas????
Otherwise it would be a petty and I would go to install it in the physical server. :(

Hi Kepa,

The HP MSL2024 is a multi-LUN device. VmWare does not support multi-LUN devices in its virtual servers/workstations.
