Hi, Backup Exec 2014 was running fine lastnight and did the mid week differentials.

I also expired a lot of Disk Storage Sets that were no longer needed while the differentials
were taking place.

I then did a restore from Disk Storage to a USB drive and it was an extremely slow rate so I stopped the
restore.

Backup Exec (BkupLnch.exe)  then seemed to hang while cancelling the job so I killed it after half an hour or so.

I was able to log back in to BkupLnch.exe application but the job I cancelled was still showing as Active so I
stopped it again, and again but it remained.

I then rebooted the server 2008r2 and disconnected the USB drive.

Since then I cannot restart the SERVER Service (DOMAIN ADMIN Account)

Backup Exec Device & Media Service........Starts Ok with DOMAIN ADMIN Account
Backup Exec Error Recording Service........Starts Ok with Local System account
Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows........Starts Ok with Local System account

Backup Exec Job Engine set to use DOMAIN ADMIN Account (dependant on Server Service)
Backup Exec Management Service set to use DOMAIN ADMIN Account (dependant on Server Service)

SQL Service on same server starts OK with Local System account.

I have used Backpu Exec Utility to check the DB - it reports no issues with consistency, Indices or Repair
but again it failes to restart the services.

I am using the Backup Exec Debug Monitor and noticing a lot of:

2328 BESERVER 5944 08/07/2016 15:34:56 5964 -1 CReportsBO::CReportCheckCRFRegistry::DoWork() CRF APP directory deletion check

Can someone explain what this is doing? Is it reclaiming space from the Expired sets I deleted which was approx 7TB!

Is there any advice you can offer please to get the service restarted as I need to do the Full Backups this evening.

Partial Log file attached...
Thanks in advance.
