8.6 server job engine service stops

having trouble with job engine service. It keeps stopping and we are unable to get a backup for over 2 weeks now.

We are running 8.6 with agent for exchange on win 2000 server.

event viewer shows. error at service control manager.

The Backup Exec 8.x Job Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 9 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.

Please advise.

I also get the same error. Every time I try to start a backup the Job Engine service is stopped.

Running BE 8.6 on Windows 2000 server. Please let me know if you found a solution!
