all this happen after i changed my dedup job policies (only), without edit selection list.
this is bad...
please correct me if the steps below are wrong/ missing for recreation dedup folder.
1. delete dedup folder 001
2. assign all related jobs to backup-to-disk folder 001
3. create dedup folder 002
4. restart service
5. Question: do i need to recreate all remote agent for dedup under device?
many thanks.

I think you should re-create your jobs and make sure that they are targeted to the correct dedup folder.

@PKH - I agree with you here, except his catalog driven jobs will have a record of media for a device that does not exist.
@Poohzai - I would use the "Delete jobs created by policy" option to reset the backups and catalog drive jobs, such as verify and duplicates. Then New jobs by policy to start fresh with the new dedupe folder.

After I recreated dedup folder with the steps above and re-created new policy.
Backup job successful but job verify was failed.
An unknown error occurred on device "Dedupe Folder:X". V-79-57344-34036 - An unknown error has occurred.
any idea?
