AOFO Error

Problem: When we use Advanced Open File Option then Different types of error occurred. These problem is occurred on every machine on which AOFO is used.
E.g.:

Problem No 1:
AOFO: Initialization failure on: "\\PHPKKA-S3005\F:". Advanced Open File Option used: VERITAS Volume Snapshot Provider (VSP).
AOFO: The required module VSPAPI.dll cannot be found. The Advanced Open File Option may not be properly installed. Reinstall this option, restart the computer, and then run the job again.

Problem No 2:
AOFO: Not enough disk space on the device running the Advanced Open File Option (AOFO) to create or increment the cache file.
To increase the initial size and maximum size of the cache file, use the AOFO Wizard on the Tools | Wizards menu.
Optimum settings for your computer will vary.
Snapshot error during backup. Set has been canceled.

Unexpected end of backup set encountered on COMPAQ 1.
V-79-57344-34004 - End of data set was unexpectedly encountered.

Problem No 3:
Backup- \\PHPKKA-S3002\System?State
An unexpected error occurred when cleaning up VERITAS Snapshot Provider (VSP) snapshots. Make sure that no other application has a lock on the cache files created by the snapshot operation.

--> Reboot the system.


-->Check whether the drive on which the static volume is installed has enough space.

If it does not try moving the static volume to another drive which has enough space.


-->Run the wizard from Tools> Wizards> Advanced Open file Option wizard and change the location of the static volume.


-->Perform a test Backup job, observe the result.

I am using Evaluation version so why the license error occured
the problem not solved

Hi

I've got the same failure - not enough disk space! But when i change the location of the static volume with the wizard, this wouldn't take effect of the backup. The static volume will create anywhere else....

Do you know where the problem could be?

Hi Salman,

if you have resources to be snapped in a job where you have also selected exchange..Will you try dividing the job into to parts one consisting of exchange resources and the other one which doesnt have any.
