Do you need AOFO to backup the system state on Windows 2003 SP1 servers?
I'm using BE for Windows V10 build 5520.

I have 3 server that I'm getting the 0x0008524 error message on; the error message informs me that I must install AOFO.

I have reinstalled the remote agent and generated new jobs. I still get the same errors only on Windows 2003 servers with SP1 installed.

Please see the technote below to resolve the issue:

If not using then deselect the option from backup job properties-AOFO-deselect this option

The problem is that I am not using AOFO. The options to select/deselect parameters for AOFO are greyed out.

Hello,

This can also be a rights issue please check whether BE has domain admin rights.

Thanks,

The AOFO problem is eliminated when the backup operator account is added the the domain admin group (or enterprise admin group for ADS).
