I'm about to rename a server, would doing this affect backup exec in a bad way that's hard to fix. I've been doing some googling and it seem to show people having troubles with this. As backup exect is fairly new install, should I just uninstall it first. Rename the server and reinstall backup exec, or would that still be the same. I'm doing this today, so hope someone can answer this. It's backup exec 10d on a windows 2003 server. I've done a few backups already, but we need to change server name and IP as this is replacing an existing server. We want to change name because there are client machines that rely on the server having the same name, too much work to change client side.
