Access denied when installing client og windows

Hi,

When i try to install the windows backup exec client i get the following error msg

The installation failed with an unexpected error: Access is denied. (Exeception from hresult: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

I have also tried to copy the raws32 folder and run the setup from this, but the same issue. The user im logged in with is administrator.


Any suggestions ?

Hello,

Make sure that the administrator account is added in the local admin group on the remote server if remote server is NOT a domain controller.

1  : Copy RAWS32 and MSXML folders on a seperate folder on the remote server.
2  : Open command Prompt on the remote server and navigate to the folder
Example : D:\AGENT\RAWS32\>
3  : RUN SETUPAA.CMD...........D:\AGENT\RAWS32\>setupaa.cmd

I have seen in the event viewer that i get the following error msg

EventType clr20r3, P1 _setup.exe, P2 13.0.173.0, P3 4b17cf73, P4 system.management, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4889dedd, P7 26c, P8 1b6, P9 system.unauthorizedaccess, P10 NIL.

Same error msg apperas if i use local or remote install.
