Accessing backup files after disk failure

Hi.

We have had a fairly catastrophic raid array failure on our main dev server. While we wait for someone from Dell to send some replacement parts, we are in urgent need of accessing our backup data. The system drive was backed up onto network storage using BE for Windows Servers v11. As I understand there is an index file on the system drive itself where BE was installed. As this is currently inaccessible, is there another way of accessing the backup data?

Yours gratefully,
Andy

 Nope

You need a running copy of Backupexec to get at the data stored in the BKF files

I suppose that if you have a spare desktop, you could install BackupExec on that, then create a B2D folder that points to the share on the network, then inventory and catalog each BKF file, but that could get into a lot of work real fast
