Import SQL Agent License on the Backup Exec Media server and install Remote Agent for  windows

on the SQL server.

For installing Remote Agent refer to http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH179142

Refer to the below article for the permissions required to bakcup and restore SQL

1. You need to purchase an Agent for Applications and Databases license for each machine with SQL Server that you want to backup. To install the Agent license, Click on the BE button then click on Installation and Licencing and Install Licences and Options.. 2. Add the servers with SQL Server and push out the remote agent to these servers 3. Create a backup job and browser to these servers. Select your databases from under the SQL Databases node 4. You might want to read the chapter on SQL in the Admin Guide http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC7418

Thanks for the help you are giving me.

I have read articles that suggested me to reinforce the SQL Agent installation and we can issue your backup DB.

I have only one question after adding the license for SQL on my Server BE 2014 deploy the agent to the server containing the SQL I need Give you back as I will put the license to the server BE deploy a different agent agent normally deploys to backup files to Windows.

Users who put this SQL agent is a DB user have permissions to back up my SQL

thank you

There is only one agent to push to the machine with SQL Server. This agent is capable of backing up SQL Server databases if you have installed the Agent for Applications and Databases license on the media server. There is no other agent to push out. You use the same BESA to backup SQL databases. Just add the BESA as a db_owner
