We want to backup oracle database. This database works on Linux platform.

Must we buy license for Linux agent as we will do for Oracle agent?

Incorrect.
All application agents include an Agent for Windows.
However, Oracle includes an Agent for Windows AND an agent for Linux.

So if Oracle is running on Linux, all you need is the "Symantec BackupExec Agent for Oracle on Windows or Linux Servers" license.

If you have Oracle RAC, there is a separate agent for RAC deployments that is licensed per Active RAC node.

Yes, you would require both the Linux agent & the Oracle agent.
