Alert Notice: Please insert overwritable media Event ID: 58064

Hello,

I'm using Backup Exec 9.0 on Windows 2003 Server. I ran a daily backup last night and it is now still in Queue. The alert message is:

"Please insert overwritable media into the robotic library using the import command"

The byte count showed only 50GB, I've been able to backup 70GB before with the two DLT IV tapes. It looks like only one of the tape and part of the second tape was used. I ran an import on the second slot containing the second tape and recieved an alert message saying that the tape is overwrite protected. I was able to use that tape before.

Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

Just on GP, I'd grab the free upgrade to v9.1. Won't address this probably,. but it is free and has quite a few updates/fixes

On to your problem -

Do you have lots of hard errors on either or both of those tapes?
How often do you clean you drive?
