We have Backup Exec 9.1rev 4691.
We can read in log the archiving task archives 156 files and the deleting task deletes 158 files.
That files has generated during the archiving task. (archive logs Oracle 9.02i).

We cant recovery our DB because 2 archive logs have deleted without backup.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Cristina,

Please refer to this document in order to put the Oracle database in Archive log mode:

How to put an Oracle 9i and 10g database in Automatic Archive Log Mode using Oracle Enterprise Manager Console

Our Oracle database is in Automatic Archive Log Mode. The problem is when I archive this files in a stream with veritas. Veritas delete more files that it has archived.

I lost this files and I cant recovery them.

I think that Veritas could delete only the files that it archive.

Thank you,

Cristina

Were the deleted "files" actually folders?

if so, create a text file called "LeaveMeHere.txt" that contains a comment as to why you are using it, and place a copy in every folder in the archive job. Then edit your Global Exclude list with a path of "\\*\*" (any server, and folder) with the file name LeaveMeHere.txt and specify /SUBDIR

This should preserve the folder structure even if you Archive/Delete all the actual data.
