BACKUP JOB HANGS WITH CATLOG UPDATING STATUS

Hi All,
 
MY backup job get hangs with catlog updating status, it backed up all the data but get hang while updating the catlog. I am using Backup EXEC 11d on Windows 2003 ent.sp1 and my all the clients are also on Windows 2003 ent. sp1

How long does it sit in updating catalogs before it completes the job?

Thanks for your reply, it backups the selected data but get hangs or go in loop at Catlog Updating, so we have to cancel the Backup Job.

Sandeep,

When it hangs or goes into the loop of updating catalogs, what is being backed up at the time?  Also would it be possible to split up your job a bit to see where the problem is coming from?
