BE 10d Backup-to-disk - switched disks

markperl
Not applicable

The target external was full, so I copied the entire contents of it to a new, larger drive. I named the drive the same as the old drive, and when connected, it had the same drive letter as the old drive.

The next backup failed with: Final error: 0xe00084e9 - No media in storage device.

Under Devices, the daily backup folders are shown, and at least one of the files in the backup folder is was updated. It seems that BE "sees" the drive, so I don't under stand what's going on here or what to do about it.

?????????

Thanks

Mark

Hi

If this is a Backup-To-Disk (B2D) error, create a new B2D destination folder and test the job.

As said by 10th point in link below given by me so please try that & that should fix the issue

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH45738

If this resolves the issue please mark the post as solved

Thank You

Hi Mark,

Did you inventory the B2D after moving it?

Thanks!
