BE 10d in MSDE

Does  Backup Exec 10d backup Microsoft SQL Desktop Edition (MSDE) databases using the SQL Agent?

I'm trying to backup some MSDE databases using Backup Exec 10d. We have a license for Backup Exec SQL Agent, which is used to backup live databases. We DO NOT have the Open File Option, and do not require it.

Our Backup Exec event logs show:

V-79-57344-33938 - An error occurred on a query to database DATABASE1.
The item SERVERNAME\DATABASE1 in use - skipped.

I am NOT backing up the LDF/MDF files.

Any ideas?

 Hi Kenneth,

Did you try re-installing the remote agent?

 Hi Kenneth,
BEWS 10d is compatible with MSDE and you should be able to back it up

There can be many reasons for the error

Please refer to the following for more information

How to troubleshoot "An error occurred on a query to database" or "Database  Query Failure" errors that occur during a backup or restore
http://support.veritas.com/docs/327913

"A database query failed" is returned when trying to browse a Microsoft SQL 7.0  or Microsoft SQL 2000 server via the Backup Selections tab in Backup Exec for  Windows NT and Windows 2000.

Thanks, I've been over this article.
I'm not lowering the restrictanonymous security on my servers.
The MDAC Component Checker is more confusing than Terminal Server licensing.
And these databases are on separate computers..
