BE 8.5 and LTO

We've outgrown our old tapes' capacity, so we've moved up to a PowerVault 110T with LTO tapes (Ultrium2). I'm trying to install the software, but it doesn't list LTO tapes specifically in the 'tape type' section. Is there another type I can select that will allow it to work with LTO tapes? We're a non-profit and I'd hate to have to buy a newer version of BE if it's not necessary. Thanks! Lee

I think you are probably stuck with getting a newer version, tho if NTBackup sees and uses the drive, BackupExec should
 
You can generally find older versions on EBay for cheap.  V9.0/v9.1 use the same serials and should support your environment OK.
 
 
(The HCL for both v8.5 and v8.6 say that they support LTO drives.  What version are you running?)
