BE2012 : convert a Virtual machine to a virtual machine issue

Hi,

I know that the convert to is targeted to convert physical machines to virtual machines,

whatever, I tested convertir a VM (BE server) to a virtual machine... all goes well except
that resulting machine have not NETWORK ADAPTER!

Beside this, adding an adapter complete the task an let the resulting VM to well boot
and be full working.

Hi,

Try with another machine and see if the result is the same. Could be that you might get some sort of issue when converting the media server to a VM while it's doing the conversion.

I know that another software vendor's application, for instance, doesn't allow you to run a backup of the server if it runs as a VM and has that backup application on it.

Hi,

As the conversion I made was Backup 2 Virtual Machine... I expect that BE serveur don't see any difference converting one of its existing backup or convertir any other one to a VM.

I will however try with other.
