Hello,

Backup Exec AOFO store is where the AOFO cache file is put during the backup.
If all of the drives are selected in the backup job, the cache file will be created on all the drives at the same time. If only one drive is selected for backup, then cache file is created as set in the AOFO wizard.

We would like to mention you that " Backup Exec AOFO Store" is a hidden folder and AOFO Store folder is where the AOFO cache file is put during backup. Once Backup with AOFO option selected is completed then--> Cache file is cleared, but folder remains after backup.

Since you have problems with drive space, you may change the location of BEVspCacheFile_1.VSP by going to Backup Exec Tools--- Wizards ---- AOFO wizards and changing the location to destination of your choice

You may refer the following technote from which you can refer figure 2, and here's where you can change the location to any other specified drive where there is more space.
How does Advanced Open File Option calculate static volume size and location with VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.0 for Windows Servers?
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/256762.htm
( The above technote is for your reference, from where you can select the location for the cache file which may store to another drive )

As it should usually happen rebooting the system will delete this file X:\Backup Exec AOFO Store\_BEVspCacheFile_1.VSP and will avoid creation of this file in root, but since it is not getting deleted we would suggest you please perform the following steps:-

Make changes in Registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\Backup\DoSingleVolumeSnap to 1.

Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be
carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.

Also make sure that the static path to drive where No VSP traces are available.

We hope this helps.
