Background:
After the upgrade of BE 10.0 to 11d, the data for Device&Media-services is attached to CAS-server for central administration. BEUtility.exe is then used to move the D&MS-data from CAS to the Managed Media Server. This is standard procedure when upgrading instead of making a new installation according to Symantec.
- Servers are standalone and not connected to a domain.
- We want D&MSdata to be stored locally because of slow and non-redundant communications to site-servers.
Problem:
When running the BEUtility.exe and right-click the MMS-server choosing <Move Device and Media Data to Managed Media Server>. The following error appears:
"The system cannot find the path specified."
More detailed information from logfile:
BEUTILIT: [06-04-07 14:05:45] [0000] 00-0604:140545:cBemMachineEx.SetAdammLocal()failed. BeServer returned error code=3 with error message The system cannot find the path specified.
Tested:
- Ping between servers. OK
- Attach to server \\server\share. OK
- Database Connectivity-test, to make sure that BEUtility works fine. OK
- Searched the symantec forums and KB without luck.
- Searched the internet without any luck.
Any Ideas??
