Backing Up Exchange 2007 is Stuck at Consistency Check

I am running a backup job for my exchange 2007 SP1 server and the job is stuck 21 GBs into the job with a status of "Consistency Check".  It has been like this for about 2 hours.  I have around 1 GB of space left on a 136 GB drive and i need to get the Transaction logs that are uncommited backed up and out of the way.  Does anyone know why this is stuck on this status or what I might be able to do to get the backup to complete its run?

Are you running this job with Advanced Open File Option turned on? Symantec don't recommend running AOFO with any database backups.
Turn it off, and retry and see if this clear it up.

I do not have that option turned on.  One additional thing is I know the backup was there yesterday because I ran a test restore from it.  All of my other servers show both days.
Also yesterday I used the duplicate policy for the first time to move the job to take as soon as the disk backup finishes.  I appreciate the quick reply.
