Backing up 1.3 Terabyte - ? Space for Snapshots ?

We are looking into using v10.1 with a 2TB RAID 5 SAN with about 1.5TB usable space. If we are backing up ~1.3TB how much space do we need for snapshots?

I read an article and thought it said to allow 50% of your backup space for snapshots and if this is the case we'd need 1.95TB.

Any insight would be appreciated

Hello Tom,

Are you planning to Backup all the ~1.3 TB in one single Backup job?
Splitting the job will help in this case.
Also selecting the Option to 'process logical Volumes for Backups at one time' will help.
