Hi all, i need some help restoring files form my backup follwing is the case:
I need to restore a exchange backup " mailbox " from 2 years ago. om the mean time the old Exchange server does not excist any more. I've used our test lab machines to build up a catalog of the tape thats ok. it gives me the requered information.
Because the old server does not excist anymore i can not easly restore it ot the exchange db. and i have to redirect it to another server. and there it goes wrong, done so far: Created a new "Restore" Exchange envoirment. installed the requered agend on the servers. als o created a sec machine having the name of the OLD Exchange server with an backup excec agent.
i tried for a few day's now but i geep getting af failer unable to attache resource
Is there someone who is able te help, if it is possible to just extract the databse to a file thas fine for me.
