Backup 2 Disk 2 Tape

Not applicable

Hallo Zusammen,

Vielen Dank!

Grüsse

Thomas

PS: Wir benutzen Backup Exec 2010 R3

You can make use of duplicate jobs or a policy with backup and duplicate templates.

Create a policy. Create a backup template with destination as B2D, choose the schedule option as run acording to scheduel and create a schedule.

Create a duplicate template, choose the destinationa as tape library, choose a media set, select the schedule option as Run according to rule of this template.

Create a template rule as, start duplicate template after completing backup template. Add the selection list to the policy

If you want to run duplicates also according to schedule, schedule it and select the schedule option as run according to schedule.

You will have to create a duplicate job which will duplicate your disk backup to tape.

In the duplicate process original data will be duplicated to the tape so that you can restore data from

the tape itself.
