Dear all,
Can anybody explain to me how to setup compression ratio on Backup Exec 2010?
Kindly treat as very urgent.
Thanks.

You don't control the compression ratio, neither does Backup Exec.
"hardware compression" is either ON or OFF. If it is "on" then the compression ratio is up to the tape drive. The compression ratio that is actually achieved is usually dictated by the source data as some data compresses greatly (text files) and some data compresses poorly (zips & MP3s)

Yup as Larry says. It's either on or off. You can do it in software on the client, in hardware (preferred) in your tape drive, or you can do it with deduplication (also preferred)
