Backup Exec 11d Arithabort error when backing up SQL 2000 database

We have Backup Exec 11d and we are using it to backup two MS SQL 2000  databases.  We are getting an error under the "Database Consistency Checks" section of the job log.

“An unknown or unexpected database error occurred while attempting a DBCC.  DBCC failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'ARITHABORT'.  “

I have already tried turning off the consistency check in the job specification which didn't help.  In query analyzer, I have successfully run a dbcc consistency check on both databases with no errors.  I have also tried the "set ARITHABORT off" command in query analyzer which didn't help either.

We do have the MS SQL agent and successfully backup databases from other servers.

Any help in this issue would be appreciated.

Hi,
Did you get an answer or a fix for this problem ?
I'm running into the same issue.
Database is fine, backup exec reports an error.
this procedure worked fine on version 9, it has only started since the upgrade to 11d

thanks

No reply yet.  I am still looking for an answer.  I am glad that I am not the only one with 11d having this problem.
