Backup Exec 11d and NSS6000 Linksys NAS

I'm currently in the process of planning the implementation of Backup Exec. We're trying to move away from being so dependent on tapes and towards disk bacup. We're looking at the Linksys 6000 NAS to store our backup media. The problem is that the Media server for backup exec will be running on another NAS running Windows Data Center sp2. Before I can move forward with this plan I need to know if Backup Exec liscensed for a Windows enviroments can read from a NAS running a Linksys proprietary OS running on the Linux 2.6 kernel.

Thanks
Tim

You can place a B2D folder on any network share that can  be mapped by the BEService Account

HOWEVER

If you are planning on doing GRT backups of Exchange, you MUST backup to disk first (not tape) and the disk must be locally attached to the media server (and for some reason, cannot be a USB/Firewire drive)
