Backup Exec 12.5 & Microsoft Exchange 2007

Can someone please help in in backing up Microsoft Exchange 2007 successfully.  We have been running this backup for the last three months and sometimes it does manage to work.  Most of the time it fails with :-
A communications failure has occurred.  (see attachment.)
I have placed a call with Symantec Support, but they haven't come back with anything.

We have updated the MAPI Cdo to the latest version and installed the Management Console.  We have had some successful backups, but 75% of them fail with this communications error.

This message indicates that the remote agent or Be server service is crashing I would suggest you put the remote agent service on the exchange server in the debug mode,

you can do that by stoping the raws service and adding the parameter -debug in the services and restart the service

Can troubleshoot issue further by lookin at debug logs
