Hi Guys,

First of all I'm new to the forum so hi to all.

I have a problem backing up a HP DL100 server to a HP autoloader ultrium 3 with backup exec 12.5.
The backup starts to run does approx 11GB then I get an the below error message

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1.
I have updated the SCSI card drivers with the latest Apaptec driver but still no luck.

Here's a list of the products I'm using

Adaptec SCSI 39160 Ultra160
HP Auto Loader Ultrium 3
HP DL100 360GB model.

Has anyone come across this issue and managed to resolve

generally means that tere could be a Hardware / software issue ,

Try going to event viewer ( Rightclick my computer ...manager ---event viewer ...system event and check for evnt ids : 7/9/11, and wsee what evnt has a frequent occurence)
For additional info refer : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/154690 How to troubleshoot event ID 9, event ID 11, and event ID 15 error messages
Generic trouble shooting would be to check cabling/ Firmware updates for SCSI card / re swapp of the dev ice ( Shutdwon/ Swap out and re-swap in ) ---
Furher if similar events occur get Hardware vendor to look in same...
