We just recently ran into a pretty serious issue. Researched but couldn't come up with anything offhand.
For a client of ours, we installed a new server with Server 2008 and BackupExec 12. This server is only used to run backups. Exchange 2007 is running on another server.
While in the process of running backups, one of the storage groups dismounts every time. We tested last night to be sure and moved the storage groups to the top of the resource order. It took about 20-30 minutes before the 'D:' drive was gone on the Exchange Server. Rebooting the Exchange server brings everything back up and mail begins to flow properly again.
This is obviously a very strange issue and I personally have not seen it before. Has anyone else run into something like this or has any suggestions?
