Hi, we have a backup exec media server 12.0 rev. 1364 with SP3 installed + HF 317974 & HF 319698 on a MS Win 2003 x86 R2 SP2.
We want to install the sql remote agent on a MS Win 2003 x64 R2 SP2 CLUSTER but the system won't let us.
Although we have the license for the sql remote agent we cannot install it.
The installation of the BE completed successfully, we can backup local data & user shares.
Is there any procedure to follow in order to install the sql remote agent on the cluster?
Thanks in advance.
George

the sql agent is always there. it doesn't really need to be installed. it does need to be enabled with the license key though. so that could be your problem.
does a non-clustered sql instance show up on the cluster node? that would be an easy way to test the agent.
are you looking for your clustered sql instance under the cluster itself maybe? they will only show up under the virtual sql cluster name. maybe you are just looking in the wrong place?

To do your MSSQL backups see http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/300162.htm especially #4, bullet 1
