Backup Exec 13.0 5204 64 Bit slow backups

Before upgrading to the Service Pack 2, we were getting VMWARE Agent backups to tape at speeds of about 3000 MB /min. After upgrading to Service Pack 2 we are getting backups at about 1300 MB / min. This is the only change that has occured. Likewise, backups directly to local storage are incredibly slow.

The only variable in this case is the service pack. If I down grade the speeds get better.

I raised this issue with Support a while ago and got no solution. I also know of numerous other people with the same issue.

If you have RAWS agents on remote servers did you do a push-install? Otherwise remove the SP from the media server, and check the Known Issues link below to see if this is a known issue...you can then vote it up and comment on it.
