hello ,
we are actually migrating to Backup Exec 16 .
we met many problems .
Firts Problem : the Jobs of the VMs that have an extention SAN partition could not be backuped ,after many check we reconfigure our job without using deduplication ( disabling backup exec deduplacation and we conserve the storage deduplication (OST) active ) => the Jobs working fine but we dont know why its hapenned because we will need the backup exec deduplication to backup in Azure Storage wich this one is no longer deduplication storage .
Second Problem : the Cluster Hyper V Job is down after migration .
after many checks , we found that the backup exec agent in the cluster nodes ( we have 3 nodes ) was stopped and in the log say that the process beremote.exe was crashes bedsshadow.dll .
For information , all the agants are updated to version 16 .
Please help us
Regards

To clearify, you want to back up VMs from Hyper-V using the Backup Exec Deduplication option. The Deduplication option cannot be used in Azure, so you will have to pick the destination of either Azure or Backup Exec Deduplication. What is the error you are getting when backing up to the Deduplication folder?
Issue 2, when you run a backup of a VM on one of the Hyper-V nodes, the Beremote service crashes on bedsshadows.dll? When you recieved the error, is there a file/folder path associated with the error?

For issue 2 (the process crash against a Hyper-V cluster)
we have a known issue that wil be addressed in a forthcoming update

Hello ,
the Issue 2 was Closed
the Issue 1 : when i disable the backup Exec Deduplication from Backup Exec because we use a hardware storage deduplication (its recomanded to choose one ) .So my question , is it possible to active backup exec deduplication for Azure ?

Hello, We do not currently send deduplicated data to the cloud.
