Hi,
We recently reinstalled our backup exec onto our server and now it wont auto eject.
We have the auto eject setting active so that it should auto eject after job completion but it does not, we are still having to maunally eject it every morning.
Is their a setting that we may be missing which will allow it to auto eject?
Please help.
Thanks.

Hi,
Stand-alone tape drive or a library/autoloader? If the latter, just make sure you have a mailslot configured, otherwise it won't work at all.
You can also try a repair of the BEDB using BEutility.exe.
Thanks!

Hi,
We have a stand-alone tape drive:
Quantum LTO 1 Tape Drive
Also it is a brand new database so the BEDB wont make any difference to it.
Thanks.

According to the Admin Guide, there are some drives that do not support software eject of the media. You may have to check with Quantum whether your drive support software eject of the media.
