If we don;t support AIX then we don't support anything being backed up from AIX 0- which included Oracle versions.

Oracle can only be supported when it is installed on a supported Operating System.

How about checking up on the Backup Exec 2010 SCL for your answers?

If Oracle isn't on the list, no matter what you install it on it won't be supported by BE...

BE2010 R3 does not support AIX. http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH137682

BE supports 1 tape drive per library without license, for every additional tape drive in the library requires

1 LEO license.

BE does not support backup of network drives, you may create shares and take backup without RAWS.

Note: Atleast 1 Remote Agent is required to backup shares.
