Backup Exec 2010R3 - Medium ist nicht kompatibel

Hallo,

wir verwenden Backup Exec 2010R3 für unserere Sicherungen, angeschlossen ist ein HP Storageworks LTO5 Ultrium Laufwerk.

Zuvor hatten wir ein HP LTO 3 Laufwerk und ArcServe als Sicherungs - Software.

Da wir noch sehr viele LTO3 Bänder haben möchte ich diese in unserem LTO5 Laufwerk für Archivierungszwecke verwenden.

Backup Exec erkennt das Band, zeigt auch an das Daten darauf sind.

Jedoch kann ich es nicht formatieren oder neu Kennzeichnen.

Fehlermeldung:
Wechsler kennzeichnen 00008 -- Der Auftrag schlug mit folgendem Fehler fehl: Das Medium ist nicht kompatibel mit dem Gerät oder dem Medienpool.

Hat schon jemand dieses Problem gehabt?
Firmware ist aktuell.

LTO 5 drive can read LTO 5,LTO 4,LTO 3 medias and can write to LTO 4 & LTO 5 medias. It cannot write to LTO 3 medias. That is why you can see the data on those tapes by using LTO 5 drive, but you cannot label/format those.

Now i have activated my old LTO3 Drive, with this i can now Backup only Data they are not
so very important.
