Backup Exec 2012 License file

I have purchased a BE 2012 License and need to install it in BE. However, I haven't been sent a license key, just and SLF license file and I do not get an option to import SLF files in BE 2010 R3 (just XML files). How do I add the license?

SLF can be imported in  BE2012 only. For older versions you need to manually type in the license key

or import the XML file. Either call the licensing support to downgrade license from BE2012 to BE2010

or upgrade to BE2012 (Recommended)

sorry im trying im trying to import the file to BE2012 but the application seems to be expecting an xml file and not .slf files. i recently bought the 2012 licence and the trial is ablot to expire and i cant activate the product because of this

How are you importing the license file, did you follow this procedure?
