Backup Exec 2012 + Special logon events

Hi there

I have a number of servers in our environment showing logon events(eventid 4672) for the backup exec service account. Does anyone know a reason why?

They all log these events at a particular time in the day. Does backup exec perform network scans?

The servers do not have remote agents installed nor are being backed up in anyway.

Yes. BE 2012 does scan the network for resources to backup

you can disable the network scanning option, if you don't need it.

by default this option is set to active, to populate backupexec with all the servers in the network you want to protect.
