Hi all,
We are in the process of upgrading to Backup Exec 2012 (I know, I know....... - and we may still stay with 2010 but....). WE have a server where, in the past, because of the flexibility of the selection lists we have been able to back up some of the data on a daily/weekly basis and some different data on the sderver on a monthly basis.
You can see where this is going........... In the new world of BE 2012 and the single selection list per server is it possible to acieve this or does all data on a server have to be backed up on the same schedule? The only way I have thought of is to "fool" BE and list the server twice - once by it's name and once by it's IP address which is in no way elegant and not easily manageable.
Has anyone any ideas?
THanks
John

It's not like that. You can have multiple jobs with different selections for/of a single server. I configured one of the client's file server backups like C:\ D:\ FULL on Friday night and E:\ F:\ FULL on Saturday night. Remaining days both can be configured to run incrementals or differentials (if you want).
