I have several VMware ESXi 5.1 hosts. This hosts contains many virtual machines. Some virtual machines has floppy drives, that uses floppy images (*.flp). All virtual machines backups with Backup Exec 2012 SP4. I can not restore virtual machines that uses floppy drive images, all other virtual machines I can restore. Is it possible backup and restore virtual machines that uses floppy drive images (*.flp) with Backup Exec 2012 ?

My guess is this is actually the same problem as leaving an ISO mounted as a CD-ROM into a VM and then running a backup

I have no idea if the reg key in the article, will work for .flp mounts (as you are probably the first customer in over 7 years of supporting VMware backups to tell us you are doing this, we almost certainly have not tested such a scenario)  - The reg key is worth a try though
